Brian Mara

Brian Mara MPT earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education from California State University in Chico in 1991.  Working as a PT aide at Chico Community Rehabilitation Hospital, Brian saw how physical therapy can help improve activities of daily living in a rehabilitation setting.  Inspired by patients and physical therapists, Brian continued his education to earn his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 1995.  After working for several years in California as a physical therapist, Brian moved to eastern North Carolina in 2000.  Working in outpatient and home health settings, he directed patient care, at times supervising PTA’s, with the use of evidenced based treatment to improve patient outcomes.  An avid fisherman, Brian also enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
